A new design was implemented, thanks are extended to John Morton once more. This design is the fourth major version since the site was created.
Snapshot of the site - second design by John Morton

February 2003
Added the '10 Second Test'. Re-added Extreme tracking to track referrers and to confirm the unique people per day. Modified the way the voting system works, ranging from one star to five. Removed Extreme tracking again after the unique people per day was confirmed. Finally added the Daily Puzzle, a long time after meaning to. Modified a number of pages at Hostek's request, including the game loader.
March 2003
Removed the newsletter as the Daily Puzzle effectively replaces it. Removed BSQ (1 year), Wheresat (2 years) and Wheresat2? (3 months) due to lack of time - kept Wassat? and Common Answers. Added 570 unique crosswords in 12 categories. Automated the emailing of the Daily Puzzle. Modified the game loader to prevent bookmarking of external sites.
April 2003
Changed the name from BrainBashers to BrainBlisters to make the site more family friendly. Removed the forum due to lack of time. Changed the name back to BrainBashers.
May 2003
Added AnagramAlley.
June 2003
Added the Use BrainBashers Puzzles section to give people easier permission to use the puzzles. Added the survey. Added the ability to print the answers for the puzzle pot. Removed tobacco/alcohol/gambling adverts from the site.
July 2003
Added 'Favourite Colour'.
August 2003
Added 'New Stuff'. Tidied DSNs down to 4 entries. Removed pop-up adverts and gave the user the choice of removing all adverts - forever! BrainBashers was the first site on earth to offer this choice. Added 'Follow Instructions'. BrainBashers was unavailable for a few days whilst the Internet server was rebuilt due to an undisclosed error.
September 2003
The site was 6 years old this month. Due to increasing usage of the site, a dedicated Internet server was purchased. With 400 gigabytes of allowed bandwidth per month, the system should serve the site well for the next few years as the user base grows. This is the ultimate goal of any website, a dedicated URL on its own server. This happened almost exactly 6 years to the day since the site was first launched.
October 2003
A WAP version of BrainBashers was launched. There were 131 games, 65 illusions and over 1,400 puzzles. Introduced Adopt-A-Puzzle. Reintroduced Wassat?
December 2003
Created the now familiar snowy version of the site.
