Palindromes
What is a palindrome? A palindrome is a word or sentence that reads the same forwards and backwards.
Example words:
bib, civic, deed, did, ewe, eye, kayak, madam, minim, racecar, radar, redder, repaper, rotor.
Example sentences:
Was it a rat I saw?
I did, did I?
Did Hannah see bees? Hannah did!
No! It is opposition.
I did, did I?
Did Hannah see bees? Hannah did!
No! It is opposition.
There are even books that are one giant palindrome! And many more in languages other than English. As well as numbers: e.g. 123454321, 20233202.
