Tree Surgeons - Logic Puzzles
Five tree surgeons are waiting to start their day's work in the local forest, and the trees that they are about to work on are in a line from left to right.
Can you determine the position of each tree, along with the tree type, age of tree, height of tree, and the payment associated with working on that tree?
The tree ages are 5, 9, 30, 46 and 60 years. The tree heights are 40, 48, 60, 65 and 74 feet. The payments are 40, 75, 96, 125 and 165 pounds.
The tree on the far right is 37 years older than Drew's tree, and is 60 feet tall.
Drew will earn 56 pounds more than the height of the tree being worked on.
Billie will earn 75 pounds and is working on a tree 74 feet tall.
Ray's tree is a willow, and the payment is 56 pounds less than Drew's payment.
The tree in the centre is 9 years old, is a yew tree, and the payment is 96 pounds.
Glen's tree, which is the first, is 65 feet tall, and the payment is 100 pounds more than the height of the tree.
The oak tree is 25 years older than the tree to the left of it.
Sam's tree is 60 years old.
The ash tree is 55 years younger than Sam's tree, and is not next to the yew tree.
The tree that is next to the 9 year old tree, but not next to the tree that is 65 feet tall, is a beech tree, and its payment is 125 pounds.
